Jean-François Le Luherne
Executive Pastry Chef Jean-François Le Luherne brings over two decades of experience to Bijou Patisserie, where French tradition is reimagined with a modern twist. Raised in Brittany, a region renowned for its culinary heritage, his passion for pâtisserie began with his mother’s baking and a childhood love for illustrated cookbooks. Throughout his career, he has worked alongside celebrated chefs such as Hélène Darroze and Pierre Gagnaire, refining his craft in leading kitchens across Europe and the Middle East. Known for his seasonal creations and sustainable approach, Chef Jean-François blends classic techniques with unexpected flavors and textures. In 2024, he was named a Global Ambassador for La Haute Croissanterie, a Sofitel initiative that reinterprets the French croissant through seasonal and cultural inspirations. His leadership contributed to Bijou Patisserie being awarded “Highly Commended” for Afternoon Tea at the 2025 TimeOut Dubai Awards.
