Dubai, UAE, May 2026 | This May, Pondichéry Café at Sofitel Mumbai BKC welcomes Chef Mazen Abdallah, Chef de Cuisine at Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk, for a limited culinary residency. Titled Flavours of Arabia, the experience brings together Levantine heritage and contemporary culinary expression through a thoughtfully curated dining journey crafted with seasonal ingredients.

Hosted across nine dinner evenings and culminating in a signature brunch, the residency presents an extensive spread of mezze, live culinary stations, signature mains, and classic desserts inspired by Arabian and Levantine traditions.

Chef Mazen Abdallah brings over two decades of experience across luxury hospitality. His culinary philosophy is rooted in authenticity, sustainability, and the belief that food should create genuine connection, blending time-honored techniques with a refined contemporary approach.

“My goal is for guests to experience the warmth of Arabian hospitality alongside the flavors I grew up with. Through this residency, I wanted to bring together the balance of citrus, olive oil, fresh herbs, and traditional Levantine techniques with a modern Sofitel touch.” says Chef Mazen Abdallah, Chef de Cuisine at Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk.

At Pondichéry Café, guests can look forward to contemporary mezze, charcoal-grilled specialties, traditional Arabic desserts, and dishes that celebrate rich culinary traditions alongside seasonal produce.
